Ever wonder how the CAGED system works?
This poster lays out all the connections of the chords. It shows you where the roots of the chords are and makes it easy to understand. Remember all the chords in the system link together, the C chord shape connects to the A chord shape which connects to the G chord shape, etc.
The Poster has 5 columns. the first column starts with a C chord shape and connects it to the A chord shape and continues up the neck. The second column starts with the A chord shape and connects it to the G chord shape and continues up the neck. It doesn’t matter which chord you start on, the connection to the other chords remains the same, ex. if you start on an E chord shape it will connect to a D chord shape, the D chord shape will connect to C, which connects to A, A to G and so on. The beauty of the the chords is that they can each move up and down the neck, changing the name of the chord as they go. This Poster lays it all out, showing all the connections to each chord regardless of where you start. Anyone trying to learn this system should have this poster on their wall for quick reference.
